Adult Learners week 2003 "Learning reaching the public" 17th – 22nd of November 2003
This week was organized by Lithuanian Association of Adult Education Partners
from Lithuania
Grigiškiu etnokulturos propagavimo centras represented project “Teaching Culture!” on the opening of this week in Vilnius, on the 17th of November 2003.
The opening was held in the National Library of Technique. About 10 different institutions introduced themselves and different projects involved with adult education.
Indre Cesnakauskaite, an official representative of partner institution, translated the main
handouts and printed brochures.
Mostly institutions represented projects which are over
so people were able to get some books, CD, to watch performances. But everybody was
keen to find out some new ideas. That is one of the reasons why interest in a project
“Teaching Culture!” was well – marked.
On the welcoming ceremony speeches were made
by the Minister of Education and Science Mr. Algirdas Monkevicius and Prezident of Lithuanian
Association of Adult Education Mr. Vincentas Dienys.
Mr. Vincentas Deinys was interested in a project
“Teaching Culture!” and gave some guidelines how to spread the information, outgrowth much
better and widely. He also recommended some institutions which could be interested to use
new teaching models for adult learners.
