The Institution för Moderna språk/engelska ( Department of Modern Languages/English) is part of Umeå Universitet. The institution is responsible for teaching undergraduates and graduates English studies, i.e. language proficiency, English literature, linguistics and culture. In addition, there are all the undergraduate courses in English that are part of the teacher education programme. Research in English studies is done as well.
